Terms & Conditions

  1. Exchange rate variation will apply to goods sourced in currencies other than Australian Dollars.
     
  2. Quoted prices are subject to change on order entry if the NAB Retail Foreign Exchange Rate has varied by more than 3% from date of quote.
     
  3. Unless customer is an approved account holder, payment is due prior to shipment by EFT or VISA/MASTERCARD/AMEX payment. (AMEX payments will incur a 3% service charge). Diners Club cards are not accepted.
     
  4. Account holder payment terms are strictly 30 days from invoice date. Overdue accounts will be subject to interest at the rate of 0.5% per day, calculated for the period the account is due until the date it is paid.
     
  5. In the event where your overdue account is referred to a collection agency and/or law firm, you will be liable for all costs which would be incurred as if the debt is collected in full, including legal demand costs.
     
  6. If items purchased are not Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), or the value of the customer's purchase order is greater than $1000AUD, then purchase order cancellations or amendments by the customer after Step Globals acceptance of an official order will incur payment in full.
     
  7. All customer orders will only be processed on the acceptance of these conditions of sale.
     
  8. All product prices exclude GST.
     
  9. Prices are FOB Melbourne unless otherwise stated.
     
  10. Warranty

    1. Step Global warrants that Product manufactured by Step Global will be free from defects caused by the manufacture process for a period of 24 months from the date of shipment from Step Global to the Customer. Should any fault occur within that period as the result of such defect, Step Global will make all necessary repairs, or at Step Global's sole discretion, replace the goods at no charge to the Customer except for cartage.
       
    2. The warranty contained in clause a., shall not apply in the following circumstances:

      1. In respect of loss or damage caused by the installation, configuration, commission or use of the Product other than strictly in accordance with the products User Manual, including without limitation, loss or damage caused as a result of a failure to service or maintain the Product in accordance with Step Global's instructions, or caused by rough or negligent treatment of the Product.
         
      2. In respect of loss or damage caused by an act of God or any other cause not within Step Global's control, or otherwise not related to the Product.

    3. Resale Products from third party manufacturers will only be covered by the third party manufacturer's warranty. Where applicable, Step Global will pass through any third party manufacturer warranties to the Customer. Copies of applicable third party manufacturer warranties, to the extent they exist, are available upon request.
       
    4. Save for the express conditions and warranties herein contained all other conditions and warranties (whether as to the quality, fitness for purpose or any other matter) expressed or implied by statute, the common law, equity, trade custom, usage or otherwise are hereby expressly excluded provided that nothing in this quotation shall exclude or limit the liability of any breach of a term or condition implied by law, the exclusion or limitation of which is not permitted by law.
       
    5. Goods returned under warranty for repair or testing will incur a charge if no fault is found.
       
    6. The Customer shall bear any cost of delivery and insurance of any Product so returned under warranty.
       
    7. Where a Product is returned under warranty, or where the Customer has advised Step Global in writing that the Product is faulty but has not as yet returned the Product, Step Global may, at its sole discretion and subject to clause h, provide to the Customer a replacement Product with specifications that are not less than those of the reported faulty Product.
       
    8. Where a replacement Product has been supplied to the Customer in accordance with clause g, Step Global shall be entitled to invoice the Customer the full price of the replacement Product if the reported faulty Product is not received by Step Global within 30 days of the replacement Product dispatch date from Step Global.
       
    9. Step Global is not responsible for the operation, or failure of operation, of any satellite based positioning system or the availability of any satellite based positioning signals.
       
  11. Step Global reserves the right to correct any errors or omissions in this quotation.
     
  12. Title remains with Step Global until payment for goods is received in full.
     
  13. At Step Global's discretion, Step Global may accept the return of unused goods, and will credit the customer the quoted price minus a restocking fee equal to 15%. The goods must be returned within 30 days of receipt, in their original packaging and in as new working order.
